English - A seed of love |
A seed of love was sown one day,
In a little boy's ear as he was at play.
Jesus loves you the kind man said,
As he patted the little fellow's head.
The seed lay buried but did not die,
'Twas the seed of God that cannot lie.
The boy grew up and his sinful life,
Caused him many a sorrow and inward strife.
He had not heard of the Saviour's grace,
To the ruined sons of Adam's race.
Who was this Jesus who loved him so?
Despite his sin and guilt and woe.
The world's cold friends and Satan's snare,
Had left his soul forlorn and bare.
He was on his way to the gambler's den,
When the voice of God spoke once again.
Jesus loves you, he heard once more,
As he paused amid the traffic's road.
And voices sweet raised in lovely song,
He heard close by in that busy throng.
An open-air group of lasses and men,
Were telling the old sweet tale again.
God's love to sinners lost and lone,
And a Heaven to gain in His Beautiful Home.
The seed that lay buried bore fruit at last,
That the kind man sowed those long years past.
For the message of Love reached the young man's soul,
And the Healing Christ had made him whole.
So, every seed of Truth we sow,
Is never lost in this world below.
The years may pass but it lingers on,
And one day brings it's Harvest Home.
